Peace, harmony and music

Dear Friends,

The light shining through the window roused me from sleep today.
Before actually getting out of bed, I basked in the sights and warmth
around me. I became aware of the sounds of my husband working
in the kitchen on the many chores he takes care of each morning
before I am actually ready to take on the day. I feel blessed and take
nothing for granted. Get out early today before the season’s rains
interfere with your plans.

My day yesterday was socially a very busy one. I spent a few hours
playing BINGO at the Parish Hall and enjoyed myself immensely
despite the fact that I did not win a single thing. By my calculations,
over 800 of us packed into the space and concentrated fiercely on this
numbers game while vendors and card checkers walked around us
making sure we had everything we needed! Although I say I go for
the chance to win something, I know deep in my heart that it is my
need for social interaction that prompts me to attend when I can.

Right after BINGO I accompanied my husband to pick up furniture
we had ordered from a custom woodcrafter who prides himself not
only with building beautiful furniture but also with building a great
relationship with his customers. His work reflects his belief that one
must put heart and soul into whatever one is doing. The wood’s grain
is a source of constant delight for me and I anticipate spending many
hours comfortably relaxing on our terrace observing Nature.

To finish the day, my husband and I drove up to the new location of a
popular restaurant where many dozens of expats were enjoying the
ambiance and wonderful music provided by FLASHBACK who did
covers of popular songs to the delight of all in attendance. It was an
activity filled Saturday. As we drove home, I became conscious of the
fact that despite the upheaval in the world, my own world is filled with
peace, harmony and music. I hope the same is true for you.

Have a wonderful day and a terrific week, Marietta14680654_1186608048044378_2132398503890033440_n
